"The Dream Racing Time's Arrow"

The exploratory melding of photo-texture and form via computer manipulation offers surreal and dream-like possibilities to me. Elements from the ongoing cycles of biological life and decay, sensuality and death, are contrasted by the computer and any digital medium's resistance to the laws of time, and are often sub-themes of my work. Complexity in photo-texture is often compounded via computer calculation, thus exploring new would-be environments spawned from our natural world, but in accordance to the laws of mathematics rather than genetic coding and natural selection.
In "The Dream Racing Time's Arrow at Dawn" , conflict between the conscious and the unconscious, as well as between freedom and destiny is portrayed. The dreamer must inevitably awaken, but for the present defies all physical laws. She is free to manipulate her surroundings - but only while she remains "unconscious" .
