Mantra Yoga Club


Purpose

Create awareness and provide introductory and advanced training in the principles and techniques of mantra meditation and bhakti yoga process for reducing stress, achieving higher levels of consciousness, and increasing natural happiness and peace. We also promote vegetarianism for healthy and better living.


Mantra Meditation

The mantra yoga technique is a sublime and easy to practice technique for gaining immediate access to higher levels of consciousness and natural peace and joy. This authentic technique is time-tested and scientifically verified for its amazing effect on reducing stress.


Activities

The group organizes workshops, lectures, seminars, and discussions for teaching and practicing Mantra meditation. The events are conducted by experienced mantra meditation practitioners. We also meet weekly in Student center for practicing mantra meditation. The weekly mantra meditation sessions take place every Friday from 6pm to 6:30pm in Student Center. The group also conducts regular gatherings for all the students of Wayne State University for providing information and facilitating the practice of bhakti yoga through discussions on Bhagwad Gita and other vedic texts.

Mantra Yoga Club is also planning to start Indian vegetarian cooking classes to promote vegetarianism with a nominal fee. If you are interested please sign up and indicate your interests.


Fees/Charges

There is no fees for attending Mantra meditation sessions or be a member of the group.
