Decisions concerning admissions and financial aid here at Wayne State are made by the graduate committee, which is currently chaired by Professor Loren Schweibert. Because I am not a member of this committee, I cannot influence admissions or financial aid decisions. Therefore, please do not send me mail requesting that I intervene on your behalf, as I cannot do so. I get many such requests and I cannot respond to them all.

If you are interested in evaluating the chances of receiving admission or financial aid before applying (and paying the application fee), you should look at the department's graduate information pages. Forms are available as well as a page describing academic scholarships which are available.

Having said all of this, the Computer Science department always looking for excellent students, and we offer GTA and GRA positions to the most qualified of our students. Once you have been offered admission, you are more than welcome to send me mail about working in Distributed Systems.
