After my undergraduate degree I was undecided as to were to go from there. From my time at Central Michigan University I knew I enjoyed helping other students to understand the material in the class. Additionally, I was very interested by Neural Networks and the, then new, area of Artificial Life. However, my greatest interest at the time was having money in the bank, and a car to drive. Thus, for a time, I did contract work at Ford Motor Company in various departments.

All the work I did was database development mainly on IBM mainframes. Thus, for a period I was well versed in COBOL, TSO, IMS DB/DC, and DB2. Of course that was many years ago, but I still have the occasional nightmare involving data corruption and slow turn-around times.

During this time I worked for several different companies, as indicated below.

Ciber, Inc. [8/1996 - 8/1997]
Syntel, Inc. [1/1993 - 8/1993]
Woodley Rolling and Associates [1/1991 - 12/1992]
Computer Task Group, Inc. [3/1988 - 1/1991]
