Sun and Moon
These are symbols of God's continuing care and protection both day and night. In Genesis 1: 16 we read,
"And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the
night." Yet they are under God's control lest they do harm. See Psalm 121:5-6.
