Crowing Cock
The crowing cock is inseparably associated with the apostle, Peter, with his bragging self-confidence,
followed by his panic-bred denial of his Lord. The story is told in Mark 14:30, 66-72, as well as in the
other gospels. Fortunately, Peter's story does not end there. He went on to become one of the significant
leaders in the early Christian fellowship. Ultimately he faced death by crucifixion in Rome where he stood
as a rock, loyal to his Lord.
