Alpha
"Alpha" is the first letter of the Greek alphabet. It symbolizes the beginning, the primary cause, the
originator of life, faith and saving power. In Revelation 21:13 Christ says, "I am the Alpha and the
Omega (last letter of the Greek alphabet), the first and the last, the beginning and the end." This same
thought is embodied in the word, Pioneer, (Hebrews 12:2) where we are commanded to be ''looking
unto Jesus, the Pioneer and Perfecter of our faith."
