Microsoft Products Available Through ELMS
03/07/2008 - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
Effective immediately, the only software packages available through ELMS are those that are required by one of the Department of Computer Science classes or is an Express edition of a product that is available free from Microsoft.
Welcome
The Department of Computer Science is pleased to provide Microsoft software development tools to its faculty and students. The software includes compilers, Microsoft servers and a variety of developer tools such as VISIO and Project.
Dring the first week of classes, students1 will be automatically authorized to download Microsoft software through ELMS. This authorization process is repeated at the end of final registration 2. You are authorized to use ELMS until 11:59 pm of the day that classes officially end. See the University Calendar for the date that Classes End.

1 Only those students enrolled in CSC 0995, or enrolled in a computer science course at the 1100 level or above (or cross listed
with a computer science course) will be authorized to download Microsoft software.

Note: Some Microsoft products may not be available via all possible methods. During the software acquisition process, ELMS will list all methods that are available for dispensing a product to you.

ELMS is an acronym for the e-academy License Management System.
Microsoft is using the e-academy, Inc. to management the distribution of their products to more than 5200 academic
institutions.
What is MSDN AA?
MSDN AA is an acronym for the MSDN Academic Alliance.
MSDN AA is designed to provide the latest Microsoft products to universities.
What is MSDN?
MSDN is an acronym for the Microsoft Developer Network. MSDN provides up-to-date and comprehensive development resources so that developers can successfully develop solutions for Microsoft platforms and technologies.
