How to Declare a Computer Science Major |

HOW TO DECLARE A COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJOR 1. Call the University Advising Center (313) 577-8889 to make an appointment to see an advisor. The University Advising Center is located in room 1600 David Adamany Library. Before the appointment, you should download a copy of your transcript from Pipeline. During your meeting with the Advising Center, the counselor will do an audit of your General Education and you will be given a Declaration of Major form. 2. You will need to see the Computer Science Undergraduate Advisor (431 State Hall) during the posted office hours (Monday through Thursday, 9:00-Noon and 2:00-4:00pm) or call for an appointment (313) 577-2406. Bring the paperwork and a copy of your transcript from the University Advising Center to your appointment and the departmental advisor will prepare a plan of work form, outline your computer science major requirements and sign your Declaration of Major form. 3. Take the completed Declaration of Major form to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Student Services Office, 2155 Old Main.
